I'm a modern-day naturalist, passionate about the history of this planet, wildlife and nature. Join us as we investigate and unlock mysteries of the past by searching out prehistoric treasures that tell us what happened long ago. We hunt for fossils, minerals, artifacts, seashells, and anything else. Along the way, we always stop to appreciate the incredible environments and wildlife we encounter.

A Hidden River Yields TONS of Rare Fossils! An Epic Florida Canoe Voyage
This was way, WAY overdue! An expedition to find some of my favorite types of fossils, Pleistocene age vertebrates. This time period is often called the "ice age" and had a ton of fantastic megafauna as well as other interesting smaller animals. Florida was an incredible, wild place during the time all these fossils were deposited, and we always enjoy getting out to unlock the mysteries of what can be found in the gravel.

🌺🌿 We Discovered AMAZING Wild Orchids and Carnivorous Plants in Florida! 🔍🦟
Переглядів 10 тис.Місяць тому
This was a very fun little roadside adventure! We've been dying to get out and try hunting for wild orchids ever since we accidentally stumbled up on one while fossil hunting. We set out to a pine forest upland environment here in Florida that we thought had promise and it paid off with not only multiple types of orchids, but also fantastic carnivorous plants. This is just the beginning of our ...

Food doesn't come from the grocery store, my friends. It comes from the land, and this expedition is all about exploring, foraging and catching food sustainably, teaching about the different edible plants of this area, and a few things we're doing to begin producing more of our own food on our land. We are both very interested in progressively gaining more independence from the standard industr...
We Found a HELL PIG! Our RAREST Fossil Find Ever! | Florida Entelodont (Daeodon/Dinohyus)
Переглядів 82 тис.2 місяці тому
This was one of our rarest finds of all time! An incredibly rare Arikareean HELL PIG (entelodont) from the Late Oligocene/Early Miocene of Florida, along with a bunch of rhino material. Terrestrial fossils from this time period are incredibly rare from Florida, with only a handful of sites ever found. This site has the potential to help teach all of us more about the prehistoric life who called...
🌪️ Mysterious Mist Tornadoes & Scuba Diving at NIGHT in FL for Fossils! 🐊🤿
Переглядів 38 тис.7 місяців тому
What an UNREAL expedition on the river at night here in Florida! I absolutely love going out at night and seeing things that people rarely ever see. This adventure had all kinds of things that are almost never seen in the daylight. Humans tend to have an aversion to the night/dark under the misconception that it is far more dangerous and scary. While there was a time when that was the case in o...

This was a quick, random spur of the moment hunt back to the roads and shell creek where @WILDKYLE and myself started making videos at years ago. We managed to find some nice fossils and enjoyed our (half) day out exploring these familiar places. An AMAZING Agate Adventure: Finding & Cutting Open INCREDIBLE Florida Alligator Agate Geodes!
Переглядів 31 тис.9 місяців тому
Some days do NOT go according to plan! This was one of those hunts where we had mother nature against us, but had a fantastic time anyways. We got off to the river fairly late in the day and, in typical Florida summer fashion, we were hit multiple times by random storms that were not at all in the forecast. We made the best of it, found a few geodes and then retired back to my place to cut a fe...

NEW DISCOVERY! Finding and CUTTING Incredible Alligator Agates from a Florida Swamp on a Rock Saw!
Переглядів 114 тис.Рік тому
What an unexpected discovery! We went to explore a brand new location and found a source of legitimate Florida agate! These appear to be forming inside hollow cavities within limestone and are quite different from the agatized coral that is so famous from Florida! There are even tiny invertebrate fossils still visible under the botryoidal mineral formations; a first for us! I can't wait to get ...

This hunt turned out way more exciting, eventful and successful than any of us imagined it would be! We originally came to this location to hunt for sea urchin fossils from the Oligocene that have been covered by micro druzy quartz crystals, but we decided to explore the area a bit first...this was a great decision and led to some surprisingly good Pleistocene aged vertebrate fossils prior to e...

What a fun day of adventuring in the middle of nowhere here in Florida! We set out to do a bit of exploration and fossil hunting, but grabbed the fishing poles on the way out the door which turned out to be an excellent decision! Tons of beautiful sunfish (redbreast sunfish, bluegill, etc) for dinner(s) and fertilizing our garden! After the fishing, we found a wonderful little patch of deliciou...
These Alabama River Banks Are LOADED With Dinosaur Age Fossils and Other Treasures!
Переглядів 127 тис.Рік тому
This was my first time hunting in the great state of Alabama for fossils and minerals! We hunted for over 15 hours this day, well into the night for at least 3 totally different kind of fossils: marine shark teeth from the Cretaceous, petrified wood inside pyrite nodules and calamites (giant horsetail-like plants) from the Carboniferous period! It was a great start for Alabama and I suspect we ...
We Found TONS of SKULLS on the Side of This Road | Bone & Fossil Hunting, Foraging and Rockhounding
Переглядів 60 тис.Рік тому
On this hunt, we decided to do some driving around to hunt for bones people have dumped on the side of the road. While this is always a bit heartbreaking, Bri takes these skulls and turns them into beautiful works of art to be appreciated by everybody rather than left as trash. After the bone hunting, we decided to try some roads for shark teeth and stumbled up on a delicious surprise that turn...
We Found LOADS of Fossil Sand Dollars, a Crystal Filled GEODE and Shark Teeth on the River Banks!

This was a fun multiday hunt, exploring Eocene-Oligocene river banks along a massive river here in Florida! We located tons of different species of echinoids such as sea urchins and sand dollars. There were also a few shark teeth located and an INCREDIBLE geode that was way beyond my expectations. We already can't wait to go back to this area and go even more exploring, possibly including some ...

I absolutely love the state of Kentucky and the rich mineral and fossil hunting opportunities that the state offers. We were traveling back to Florida from Michigan and had to spend a day in the state collecting a load of geodes and agates to cut open on the saw. It was a ton of fun, as always and we already cannot wait to get back up here and hunt more! Hit that thumbs up button if you enjoyed...

Scuba Diving a DARK RED River for Shark Teeth and Other Fossils - Fossil Hunting in Florida
My family could never afford the euthanasia shots for all our dogs, so we had to have my dad "take 'em out back." We would have a funeral for them and bury them in our goat pasture so their decomposing bodies would fertilize the grass, goats ate the grass, and we ate the goats and drank their milk. That way, they could live through us. Looking back, that was really weird and kinda creepy.. When we had an animal get hit by a car, we would bury them on the side of the road with a little cross, so they could roam, as they wanted during their final hours.
Amazing video!!
Bri is quite the Gem!
Jesus Christ, stop with the baby talk. Actually, if you didn't talk at all it would be more enjoyable.
New to watching but definitely liking your show. Would love to be entered for giveaway # 4
Fascinating, Thank You for this adventure.
Love your finds?
Number 2 😊
Just stumbled across this video, one of the best and most interesting I have seen on UA-cam. Your and Bri’s passion comes through perfectly. Will be making my way through all your videos, keep up the good work. (Watched thousands of hours of UA-cam and this is the first comment I have made, your video was that good)
I'm late but love everything you put out. Those are great fish...we don't have that kind here.
6:53 did it for me!!! WOW amazing! What city, state is this in if you don't mind me asking. Awesome!
Where are these spots located? I would like to visit them if they are close
What an amazing site!! Keep it up, you two!! ❤
I am so glad I found this channel. I live in the UK and was only able to go fossil hunting on my hols. By coach and train as I do not drive. My arthritis is too bad now and I desperately miss it. I love your enthusiasm and joy. My oldest fossils are Permian. I just had to order a Paleo Pack. I know to ship to UK is expensive, just had to experience the hunt in a small way.
I always fish with the white side up. To me it's easier to see. I prefer to long skinny bombers over the ball bobbers fished with no weights. It gives a natural drop to the bait.
I saw a bright red rock and a bright green rock right after you saw the colored turtle. Why didn’t you notice them? I would have loved to have seen them opened. All your choices were amazing!
Love the UV part. Do more of it. Also, how do you clean these rocks??
You know they are precisely 350 mm years old because……..umhmmmm yep…oh, you believe the science of those who weren’t there but say they know….. got it! Did you know that in less than 350 mm years ago Pepsi can can turn itself into an android. Yep, just like that.🧬👅🧠⚠️
Keep her
This Guy just never shuts up. 😮
Love you two!
In Alaska that thorny plant is called devils club, I believe.
@paleocris quick question - why do you cut the roads backwards on the tile saw? If you cut it from the front it would spray the water away from you and if it caught the rock it wouldn’t fly at you but away from you. 🤷♀️
Thank you, this is some scary coprolite !!! We appreciate the crisp flora and fauna closeup filming. Wow you open our eyes and minds.
You are living my life.. I chose children to look after.......I missed my chance 😕 my parents drug me to Alaska as a child. Thank you for doing what you do.
missed an arrow head in the first sift
I know this video is a few years old but what part of Florida was this? I’m currently visiting from NY and I’m in central Florida and I really want to find places to find some fossils
I wish I could find creeks like this… I live in Kentucky but I can’t find anything awesome like this
Very, very cool! I am curious though. Why is the round object (coin?) in the pan at 18:08 blurred out?
that doll head is so cursed
Just found your channel a few days ago. I've so enjoyed it! My husband and I are amateur Rock hounds. I have shared a few videos with my husband, and he has enjoyed them as well! You guys are amazing on seeing things that the rest of us would think are just rocks for the most part. You are very educational on fossils!! We have learned about some animals we didn't even know existed in prehistoric times. I think I like give away 2.😉
#4 This was interesting on the corals. I would never be able to go and find any due to health and age. But I sure would love to win one of these gorgeous specimens. Thanks for the lessons.
Saddle back caterpillar they do sting ich for days
I’m going to buy a saw
Are the fossils bones black because of the minerals they absorbed?
Just finished watching this two year old video and it was Bree's birthday so two years later, _Happened Birthday.❤🎂🎶🎂🎶🎁
24:19 the skull was halfway buried

All the rocks look the same to me. Don't understand how to know a geode from a no geode

Great artwork! More of that! :-) You guys both have so many skills!
That serpentine is degrading and turns to asbestos just a heads up so i would seal it up in a container if you are still interested in keeping them
Beautiful Isurus hastalis tooth. I want one so badly.
I am an old lady and yes I have had sugarcane , also made cane syrup
I grew up chewing on sugar cane too! Great memory ❤

I love all those black crystals. Never seen that before!. Great time with rocks❤😂😊

Dont you guys have snakes, gators, snappers, dragons and other stuff that will eat you down there ? Ya, Im not going in that river at night and probably not in the day either
